Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), who chairs the panel, pressed Jackson on whether she would back measures to start regulating carbon dioxide, such as a finding that CO2 emissions endanger public health and welfare and a waiver allowing California and other states to impose their own regulations on greenhouse gas emissions from automobiles. Boxer’s staff even prepared a “Report on the Tools Available Under the Clean Air Act to Immediately Reduce Global Warming Pollution” outlining how Jackson could do so.
The scary part of this paragraph are these words “a finding that CO2 emissions endanger public health and welfare”.
They are talking about labeling carbon dioxide as a pollutant. This is the end game for the global warming lunatics. Our government could actually label what we exhale in every breathe as a poisonous pollutant that must be controlled. This would put it up there with things like chlorofluorocarbons and mercury.
Such a finding would give the EPA free reign to regulate everything in our economy without congressional approval. Not that congressional approval is all that important, in the Democrat controlled legislature now-a-days. If they do this, this recession will look like a tea party, and the Kyoto protocol will seem like a wishful dream.

One of the first he will likely create will rescind President Bush’s order which made it illegal for federal aid money to be given to foreign abortion operations. President Obama wants to make sure that all of us taxpayers get to spend some of our hard-earned cash on murdering foreign babies.
It isn’t enough to fund abortion, which many of us are totally against, here in States. We need to export this culture of death and destruction to all foreign lands, so every citizen get’s to have a hand in the fun of infanticide.
The moral depravity of such abortion lovers as Obama, is something that I will never understand. It is not enough for the procedure simply to be legal. They just have to do everything they can to make certain, that everyone that could possibly want to kill their child, has the opportunity to do so. We have welfare abortions in this country, and I am sick of being forced to contribute to a practice that goes against everything I stand for.
This does not come easy. I have been trying to construct this post for weeks now, and finally it must be done today. It is more a stream of consciousness than anything, so please read it as that. We are in for Dark Days ahead folks. For all true freedom loving Americans, today will be remembered as not a day of hope and change, but a day that represents the beginning of more governmental tyranny, and less freedom. The day we took a step back from the boldness of self determination, and real personal responsibility.
In a few hours President Obama will be a reality. He will bring his big government sycophants back into power in the executive branch in our government, and they will proceed to regulate us into oblivion, all the time promising it is for our own good.
I have been struggling with something over the last month or so, and it has to be shared now. Currently my reading time is taken up with the voluminous Atlas Shrugged. The book is a novel that illustrates the philosophy of Ayn Rand. Her ideas are collectively known as objectivism. While there is much I agree with her on, there is a whole lot that I don’t.
Rand believed that altruism was evil. She thought that no man had a responsibility to help another, nor should he wish to. For her, producing something worthwhile was the most important thing a man could do, so she idolized successful entrepreneurs. A man’s worth, should be judged by his financial worth. Ayn believed that no man should be subjected to the whims of another man or any God. The free market, and money where her symbols to worship.
As a Christian I have struggled reconciling these thing with my beliefs. Jesus said we are our brother’s keeper, as Obama repeated countless times on the campaign trail. He urges us all to serve each other, and no doubt plans to force us to do so. Many people apparently buy into his ideas, and are actually taking some kind of weird cult-like oath to serve him.
This is one of the creepiest things I have ever seen. Here is some background.
So how does this tie into Rand’s ideas, my own ideals, and the future of our country?
First, I disagree with Rand completely as to self sacrifice being evil. Wishing to help your fellow man is not evil. There is great reward to be realized for being of service to other human beings. Self sacrifice to help another is truly a wonderful thing, that all of us should partake in, if we are inclined to do so. My God tells me this is so, as does my mind and heart. We should not be overly calloused individuals purely out for our own self interests. Giving someone a hand up is a worthy and noble thing. This is one of my ideals, and is part of my morality.
Ayn was correct however, with regard to government (or otherwise) forced altruism. No man should be forced to give away what he has created himself by another man. That is simply tyrannical theft. It, does not jive with my morality, and my idea of what freedom and liberty mean. The government DOES become evil when it forces a man to sacrifice himself for another, when he is not involved in the choice to do so. It is a cynical self defeating cancer, which does nothing more than hurt everyone involved ultimately.
When Obama calls on us to sacrifice and be of service to others, he is talking about forced sacrifice. We are to sacrifice ourselves for people we don’t even know of, and for policies that we are against. We are to sacrifice ourselves to grow the already overly intrusive government into an irreversible, all knowing, nanny state. We will be told how to act, and what we can and cannot do, and many of us will do so smiling in self deluded egalitarian glee the whole way.
I heard a professor on the radio this morning claim that Obama will lead us into the vision of the country’s founders, and the framers of our Constitutional Republic. Nothing could be further from the truth. The man had the nerve to say that we will become more democratic, and this is what the founders would want.
Obviously the man is either not as well educated as he believes himself to be, or he is intentionally misconstruing the principles on which this country was founded. We do not live in a mob democracy. Our freedoms are not to be fooled with by the whims of the majority. Our financial well-being will never be best served by fascist ownership of industry, nor will markets bloom under the thumb of unqualified beaurocrats.
This topic is too big to tackle in one post, and I don’t have time to flesh out my thoughts well. As I said this is a stream of my consciousness. Someday soon, I want to discuss all of this in a more constructed manner, until then this must be sufficient.
I will not bow down to any man, nor sacrifice myself, without my own will being involved. While I believe in helping others, it is wrong to force me to do so.
My freedom is dear to me, and I WILL fight to preserve it for myself and my children.
The Republic must survive, and be protected from the clutches of those that would destroy it from within, if real free men are to exist on the planet.
So, as you watch the coronation of our new President today, pray that he is not made into our benevolent king sometime in the not so far away future.

Wow Tom, bigot much? As an evangelical Christian I have serious problems with Mormon theology, but, I am not going to sit here and make some weird claims about crazy Mormons doing weird stuff in Utah, and then link it to the entire church. Honestly, this statement doesn’t really make any sense at all. Is he saying a lot of Mormons support gay marriage, or a lot of them don’t? He is obviously blaming Prop 8’s passing on them, even though the population of California approved the measure for the second time.
There are a lot of people who feel that is un-American, and I am one of them. I do not like to see any discrimination codified on any piece of paper, any of the 50 states in America, but here’s what happens now.
Here we go. Be prepared to see this a lot now. Now that the left is again in power, it is going to be OK to question ones Americanism on all kinds of subjects. Forget the fact that they have been wailing and gnashing their teeth about one or two conservatives saying they were un-American for actually, actively cheering for America’s defeat in Iraq. Never mind all that. It will be correct, when they question ones patriotism for not wanting to give your “fair share” to the poor for example.
Yes, get ready to here that un-American label parroted nonstop for the next four years. Any time someone supports traditional American values, they will be subjugated as racist homophobes, that are un-American. Maybe we can make it illegal, and really teach them a lesson, by jailing those that disagree with us! Beyond all the moaning about our rights being eroded during the Bush administration, the left of this country will do everything they can to shut up voices like mine in the coming years.
A little bit of light can be shed, and people can see who’s responsible, and that can motivate the next go around of our self correcting Constitution, and hopefully we can move forward instead of backwards. So let’s have faith in not only the American, but Californian, constitutional process.

The people rejected the ill advised idea of so-called gay marriage once again. They have done so in every single state that the issue has been put to vote.
There is no discrimination here. Everyone is able to marry a person of the opposite sex in every state of the Union. The Constitution is not fallible. It does not need to be corrected by itself, or anyone else. It is not a living document.

An oligarchy of leftist judges may indeed turn our country further down that dark road you call progress. I promise you however, that there are many of us, who will fight with all that we have to prevent them from doing so. We will also fight to undo any damage they do in the future.
Rangel, among the worst congressmen we have, is introducing his stupid “Draft Rich Whiteys” bill again. Even though the facts show that minorities are in fact not overrepresented in the military, he insists on pulling this out year after year, to waste our time and money.

The Soviets worked on these things for decades. Senator McCarthy, while being branded as a kook, turned out to be correct. Our Department of State was chock full of Marxists. This was sixty years ago! Since the 60s these people have gained power across our country and have taken over our institutions.
We have seen the writing on the wall. We are headed for socialism-lite in this country at a rapid pace. The three-headed mongrel dog of Obama, Pelosi, and Reid, is chomping at the bit to get moving on their fundamental change. They plan to lead us into western European socialism as fast as they can.
Meanwhile the real dangerous communists are up to their old tricks. They have succeeded in their old plot to consolidate power in America around the soft American left. They have Obama to deal with. He is a weak leader, and has already proven to be soft on Russian aggression. There is more to Obama than this however, as we will look at shortly.

The Russians are expanding their oil production capabilities in our hemisphere, while we sit around and worry about global warming. This will leave us defenseless in the event of a crisis, in which our foreign oil supplies are cut off. Game over.

Obama is going to fold like a house of cards on this one, and it WILL be only the beginning of the games. The Russians will continue to test him, and take full advantage of him as long as they can. They have judged him well I think. Hopefully they are wrong, and he will step up to defend our country and our allies from this resurgent monster. This would assume that he is in fact, not on their side.

This is why we helped overthrow people like Allende, and fought the Sandanistas. We knew that communist expansion would be the end for us. That is why we spent so long fighting it. Now we are going to be run by sympathetic morons, just at the time we need to fight the most.

This brings us to the very interesting point of our discussion. Where does the American Left and their Messiah Barack Obama stand in all of this. Are they the well-meaning idiots of Jonah Goldberg, or Soviet-style totalitarian communists in disguise.
At this point I do not know the answer. There is also the question of whether or not it really matters. Good intentions don’t make up for losing one’s freedom or life after all. It would be nice to think that 52% of our populace could never be duped into voting for such a regime, but my hope in the American people was severely dashed when the picked Obama at all.
The circumstantial evidence pointing to Obama at least leaning towards authoritarian control is everywhere. His relationships with the Ayers, his membership of a black liberation church (liberation theology is rooted in Marxism), his shady dealings and election tactics in Illinois, and his polished message all point towards bad things for us conservative, patriotic, gun-toting Americans.
The most shocking revelation to me was his plan for a Civilian Defense Force. I have mentioned that here before. Just the thought of such a thing brings of visions of Hitler’s Brown-shirts, or Stalin’s old NKVD thugs. Couple this with Obama’s propensity for gun control, and you have a witch’s brew of bad intentions.

This scares me more than anything else that has been mentioned thus far. They seem to be aiming to turn our children into indoctrinated pawns for the state. What will they do next, have them spy on us, and report any negative comments we make against the anointed one? We will discuss this little plan in more detail here in a separate post later.

As a conservative and a proud American citizen, I never thought I would live to see the day when our government mirrored that of communist China. These bailouts are completely socialistic in nature, and are set to balloon out of control. Read the article, and look at the similarities between the plans, and the kind of things the Democrats are proposing we do with our bailout money. The similarities are shocking. Well, they are only shocking if you don’t see the Democrats as the big government, tyrannical, socialist bastards that they are.
So much for freedom of speech. This is typical of lefties though. They are all about our right to protest, until someone shows up to protest that doesn’t agree with them. The guy that was yelling at her in the beginning of the video needs his ass kicked for picking on an elderly woman. He also needs to be arrested and prosecuted for assault and destruction of property.
These protesters, and the ones that have been interrupting church services, are nothing more than a bunch of deviant thugs.
There is little doubt that Chris Matthews is and has been for years nothing more than a political hack. While he has been accused by both sides of being in the tank for their opponents over the years, Matthews has become nothing more than a mouthpiece for Barack Obama and the Democrats now. The video above is concrete proof of this, even if his tingling leg wasn’t. While it is admirable to want a new President to do well, Matthews has illustrated to everyone that he has no credibility left as a journalist.
He masquerades as a journalist every night. A journalist’s job is to inform the people watching of what is going on in their world, and what they need to pay attention to. It is not the job of a journalist to be a cheerleader for Barack Obama. Honestly, I would have no problem with this if he was simply a commentator, that let it be known in advance where his loyalties lie. That would be fine of course. He would be no different than Sean Hannity, or Rush Limbaugh at that point.
He hasn’t done this though. He claims to be a journalist that is reporting news, and that is a lie. After this election there is little doubt to almost anyone that the media has an overwhelming liberal bias. Conservatives have been saying this for years, and liberals have made fun of them for it endlessly. Their rebuttals were always weak, but they clung to them.
Anyone who has had this conversation is told about how the media is owned by conservatives and therefore couldn’t possibly be biased to the left. Another often posited theory is that it is balanced out by talk radio. This of course was an admission that the mainstream media was full of liberals, but was often trotted out anyway. Often times, the Washington Times or the Wall Street Journal would be parroted about as well.
These arguments were ridiculous in the past, and are flat out stupid now. The media made no attempt to disguise their complete bias in favoring Barack Obama and the Democrats this election cycle. There is no argument to be made against an ingrained institutional bias, that has existed for years. Talk radio is full of successful right leaning talk hosts. None of them claim to be anything else than that. Talk show hosts. They aren’t journalists. Two newspapers hardly constitute balance, in a sea of leftist editorial boards, whose bias is obvious in their paper’s reporting throughout. All of the major networks are biased towards the left. Most of the cable networks, MSNBC notoriously, are full of leftist talking points. The only cable outlet that is not is the often savaged Fox News.
After the obviously biased election coverage, Matthew’s stunning revelation that his job is to prop up Barack Obama’s presidency should not come as a shock. The shocking thing to me was that he has the nerve to openly admit it, and claim it as he did in this clip. His ego is so big, that he feels he alone knows what the country needs, and it is his journalistic duty to make sure that Obama is successful.
